The People's Station Radio 90.5 FM! In August 2009 we will celebrate our 12th Anniversary. It's been a challenging but extremely rewarding and growng experience for all of us at 90.5 and we're so grateful and happy to have had you -- our listeners -- at our side all the while. To reach our listeners on a more personal level, we then started our Annual Family Day which later came to incorporate a Cookout Competition as well where contestants vie for the best dish in various categories. This successfully continues today as one of our most looked forward to events as it marks our anniversary. In 2000, we wanted to do something really different, really spectacular, that could become an event not just for Indo-Trinis to enjoy but a national affair and we're proud to say that we achieved that with our Annual Easter Kite Flying Contest. Each year thousands gather at the Queen's Park Savannah on Easter Sunday.
