3minutesgone is a vlog about micro transactions of time spending! A YouTube video here, a FB page there. Some Twitter here, a little Instagram there. All the time spent on social media has its place but collectively adds up to weeks, months, years! The goal was to start from scratch with ZERO social presence and begin doing daily 3 minute videos on YouTube every day, promote them across varying social media platforms to see if we could spend the time equivalent to 1 persons lifetime in the span of 1 year. January 1, ZERO videos, ZERO posts, ZERO subs, ZERO FB friends and see what time we could collect from people for 2017. 1 video view adds 3 minutes to the tally, comments add 5 seconds and LIKES etc give 1 second.
