I was introduced to drifting by Video Option and Best Motoring. The Japanese drivers and car styles were inspired to watch, but felt distant: They were professional drivers in fire suits with fully built cars. I was just a kid who loved cars and driving. Years later, I discovered Initial: D and grassroots drifting: I realized you didn’t have to be a pro, come from a wealthy family, or earn a six-figure income to drift, so I dove in as a beginner! I create my content to be the resource I wished I had years ago: I want to show people how fun it is to get sideways, and that it’s possible to sustainably enjoy even if you don’t come from a wealthy family or (thanks to simulators) if you don’t own a car at all!
