HONEYCOMB HIVES is pleased to represent the design work and craftsmanship of Doug Lambrecht, a North Carolina Farmer and Furniture Maker who decided to explore alternatives to heavy, stacked, flat-top beehives. LAMBRECHT HIVE COMPANY now offers three applications of his unique, modular, hexagonal beehive: First is a series of 5 Horizontal Hives including Mini-Nucs, 7 Frame Nucs, the Original Lambrecht Horizontal Hive, the Flex-Hive and Long Hive. All use his universal Hexagonal Smart Frames. Next is the Fold-Hive Series which uses the same modular hexagonal hives configured to fold open for easy full hive access and faster inspections. Lastly, Lambrecht developed Hybrid-Hives which feature the strengths of Langstroth Hives combined with Lambrecht's Improvements in the areas of ventilation, moisture management and heat retention
