When visiting Leipzig/Halle airport (LEJ/EDDP), you can see at least one Antonov An-124 any day, because of Ruslan SALIS, a kind of joint-venture of Antonov Airlines (ADB) and Volga-Dnepr Airlines (VI/VDA). But as they don't fly on a public schedule, you need a bit of luck to see one take off or land. I had this luck on a day that already stood out due to another plane spotting highlight: A Lufthansa A380 "Super Jumbo" doing pilot training flights ( see https://youtu.be/Q9jGZ4mLEis ). When the Airbus had returned to its home base Frankfurt (FRA/EDDF), this An-124 came and enthused the crowd standing at the airport fence to watch the training flights. The aircraft shown is UR-82073, an Antonov An-124-100, which had its rollout in 1994. It is operated by Antonov Airlines and was painted in their new livery in 2015, the same year this video was recorded. The plane can be seen here landing on runway 08L at Leipzig/Halle airport and taxiing towards its parking position.
