This tutorial shows how to make an animation of the Earth spinning on its axis, the moon spinning on its axis and the Moon orbiting the Earth. The key points for this the first part of two are - How to uv map a rectangular image projection of the Earth to a sphere. How to make the sphere rotate about the 'Z' axis.
