In this video I explore some of the best ideas in indoor-outdoor living — and how to make the transitions work for both home and landscape. Spaces that are neither indoors nor completely outdoors are often among the most trafficked spaces in a home. And they make for good design: We use them to negotiate changes in elevation between inside and outside, for entertaining, to reduce the apparent scale of our structures, to temper weather extremes and for visual screening.
