Embers of Armageddon is a Doom modification that changes the weapons, upgrades and your customizable suit to one from Doom 2016. Your Doomslayer is also somewhat slower so some secrets that are time triggered, might not be possible to reach so easily as before (like in Bio Lab). Invading Hell itself is a one thing, but keeping a proper gear is another, upgrade your weapons as much as you can, especially the Gauss Cannon. Gauss Cannon and its SIEGE MODE are by far one of the most dangerous combinations in entire mode, a fully upgraded Siege Mode destroys almost everything. Up to the Barons of Hell, all monsters are practically destroyed by the Cannon's projectile in a large radius, get the Siege Mode as quickly as you can. You might also like the Homing Missiles upgrade for the Rocket Launcher, this upgrade is quite useful against flyers and fast targets. Remember that Summoner tends to blink and move quickly over an area, locking rockets on it gives you an advantage and much easier kill than before. Chaingun's rotor upgrade gives you a possibility to fully spin your barrels before firing, and the upgrades make it a quite resourceful weapon. First, your bullets pierce through the targets, once you are swarmed by Pinkies or even Hell Knights, you will like this upgrade quite much. After finishing a challenge for this upgrade, the rounds are incendiary, so enjoy dealing even more damage than before, just watch the ammo counter.
