Fluffy kaiserschmarrn: a giant pancake, torn into bite-size pieces after baking!



This is our all-time favorite! INGREDIENTS  4 eggs, separated;  200ml (⅔ cup+2 tbsp) milk;  125g (½ cup+1 tbsp) flour;  35g (3 tbsp) sugar;  1 tsp vanilla extract;  a pinch of salt;  15g (1 tbsp) butter.   METHOD  Beat egg whites with salt and half of the sugar until stiff peaks form.  Whisk egg yolks with vanilla and leftover sugar. Add milk and flour. Whisk until smooth batter forms.  Whisk egg whites into the batter carefully to save as much air as possible.  Heat a 26 cm pan with some butter in it over the medium heat. Pour the batter on top, wait for 1 minute, then remove from the stove and transfer into the oven preheated to 200C/400F.  Cook for 10 minutes, then remove and chop into pieces immediately.  Dust with powdered sugar before serving. ----------------------------------------- About us:  ‘CookistWow’ offers you everyday fresh, fun and easy recipes.
