The first-year production design students created ceremonially dressed characters for a near future fictional African context. Each character was required to identify with one of four groups: The Womb of the World, The Birthing Fields, Land of the Living and Land of the Dead, drawing inspiration from the assigned group identity attributes of a main colour, specific life forms a natural element and a season.
