This is just a quick test, comparing the audio fidelity of the internal mics on a Sony Alpha A6500 mirrorless camera with an external mic - the ridiculously cheap Sony Stereo ECM-CS3. I've used the CS3 for years - connecting them to Zoom H1 and H2 handy recorders to get the audio for my productions, then synching the audio in Adobe Premiere Pro. If I can get the sensitivity set just right, I might start direct mic-ing into the 6500 on some projects. Let me know how you think the sound is straight into the camera.
