The 145 kV Live Tank Breaker (LTB) utilizes an eco-efficient gas, AirPlusTM as alternative to SF6. AirPlus, ABB’s gas mixture developed for switchgear applications enables almost 100 percent reduction in CO2 equivalent emissions compared to SF6-based solutions.
