In today’s episode, Jules, Greg and I test a film and developer combination that promotes itself as “The sharpest, most fine grained and highest resolving image recording system in the world.” This sounds very promising and Greg, Jules and I needed to give it a try. We are talking about the ADOX CMS 20 II PRO developed in the fitting ADOX ADOTECH IV developer. While Greg already tested the film in the early days of the first Coronavirus lockdown in Germany, Jules and I recently took it out in the snow. Greg shot a Pentax LX with two high-end Pentax lenses while Jules and I settled on the Nikon F6 with an incredibly sharp Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 SP lens. In order to get the most out of the 35mm negatives, Greg scanned the film with his Pentax K1 while Jules used his Heidelberg NexScan F4100. Watch the video to see how this film and developer combination performed in our test.
