The advent of the bagel-shaping machine in the 1940's paved the way for bakeries to make hundreds of bagels a day. You'll see our bagel machine in action in this video, and it's pretty amazing to watch. Traditional bagels, which originated with the New York Jewish population in the early 1900's, use only basic ingredients, similar to most of our breads. We've added honey, canola oil, and sourdough starter to our bagels to make them softer and better for sandwiches. This is an updated version of our 2013 bagel video.
