In this video, I'll show you how you can use the calculate area on your Garmin Instinct so that you can measure an area like a field or property by simply walking around the perimeter. This is very useful when doing agriculture or forestry applications. To start simply press the GPS button and SCROLL down past the favorites until you see AREA CALC. Press the GPS button again, you will be prompted to walk the perimeter once a GPS signal has been acquired. Once you are done walking the perimeter, the watch will show the track on screen and once you are done, PRESS the GPS button the STOP recording.
