It travels all over the world looking for it's missing piece, meeting friends and having adventures along the way. But is finding the missing piece really the answer? I read this as a child, along with most of Shel Silverstein's other books and poems, and realized as I began reading them again that there are undercurrents. Themes adults will "get" that children will not pick up. I have a new appreciation, as I hope adult viewers will as well. I had a lot of fun dramatizing and writing (most of) the music for this book. Thanks for watching!
