The Z06 has a furious 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 pumps out 650 hp and 650 lbft of torque. There is not an ounce of lag, not even in the performance mode Eco or Touring. The Z06 hits 60 in under 3 seconds with an automatic. Manual transmission hits 60 in about 3.2 seconds. This is a great everyday car! Its totally comfy and tolorable when you place the performance mode to Eco or Touring. I used to drive a Mustang GT with a Magnaflow exhaust and I loved it! But this is 100 magnitudes better. BTW, 4 cylinder shut off only works in ECO mode. Although I put mentioned things I loved about the Z06, I didn't get to put the clip in on what I didn't like (I have it but didn't edit it in). I did a video on things I don't like about my Z06, they were little things that just errked me but nothing serious. The one thing that I don't like that I use every time I drive is the 5th, 6th and 7th gears. The spring rate is too tight! When downshifting, upshifting or skipping gears its hard to get in those gears. For example, from 7th to 6th, you'll hit 4th. From 4th to 5th, you sometimes end up in 3rd. Its something that should be brought up and paid attention to. Would it stop me from buying a manual Z06? NO! I always think I'll get used to it and never do. I still miss gears. As you hear me shift gears on the straight aways, the automatic changes gears less than half the time it takes me to shift. That's how the Z06 gets to 60 in under 3 seconds under perfect conditions. I love my Z06 and you will too! Of course I'd get a ZR1 but its about $50K more for what? 0.2 seconds faster, nicer front end and rear spoiler? Na, The tail creates too much down force, it may prohibit mph when hitting those straight aways. The Z06 reviewed is a 2016. Since 2016 the Z06 hasn't changed other than a few more radiators to cool the engine, more colors to choose from (but then Chevy deleted some as well), and updated Chevy Mylink.
