In this video, I'll show you how to register your Garmin GPSMAP 66ST to use the Garmin Explore smartphone app. ** GET THE GEAR ON AMAZON** https://www.amazon.com/shop/jimcyr Garmin Explore smartphone app allows you to store via the cloud tracks, waypoints and routes along with downloading maps. It is a light version of Garmin Earthmate which inReach users use. First step is add your device to Garmin Connect either via Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile from your smartphone. I recommend using your smart phone and Garmin Connect mobile as bluetooth will be turned on. Open up the Explore app and tap on the icon at the bottom right and ADD DEVICE. Note that you can see which devices associated to your garmin connect account are unsupported. After the wizard completes, you will have access to your collection on garmin explore. This is a spot where you can store your tracking data from your GPSMAP 66. If you have an inReach device, you will have collections for those devices.
