Do NOT Update Your BIOS for Ryzen 3000 YET!

AMD had to do a lot of messing around with the BIOS because a lot of motherboards were equipped with too small of a bios CHIP. In the new bios, you might find that some older A-series, Athlons and bristol ridge CPU's will not be supported but that’s not the main issue. The main one is that If you have a raid configuration, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR BIOS, I REPEAT, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR BIOS, unless you have a proper external backup of your system. Some companies had to kick the raid module out which is going to break your SATA raid on many motherboards. The reason why I explicitly mention having an external backup is because if you are using SATA raid 1 or raid 5 for that, you’re going to have a bad time. Currently, Techpower up got this information for MSI motherboards only but many other motherboard vendors featured the same small 16MB BIOS chip. IF you are not buying Ryzen 3000, don't update your bios just yet, if you physically have a Ryzen 3000 chip, PLEASE Make sure you have a backup. ————————————————————————————————— TODAY'S DOSE OF TECH NEWS SOURCES ————————————————————————————————— TechPowerUp : https://bit.ly/2xOOu21 ——————————————————— About Boot Sequence: Snows and the rest of the Boot Sequence team are here to bring you the latest breaking Tech News.
