People insult you and make you feel inferior. Eleanor Roosevelt said: "Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent," but how can you not consent to it when you believe their claims are warranted? What makes you agree with your attackers? Why would they pick on you if it wasn't true? In this insightful speech, Alba explains how our belief system is created, why it is not objective and its consequences on behavior, social interactions, and professional achievement. Alba Alamillo is a certified hypnotherapist and author who has spent the last 20 years of her career researching why people feel like victims or have inferiority complex. She believes those two traits cause most emotional struggles. For the last 15 years, Alba has helped a wide range of people get rid of their distorted self-perceptions and achieve their potential in all areas of their lives. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
