I was so happy to be approaching this plane on the day and thinking how cool of a flight review it would make, I hope you enjoy this flight review as much as I did making it. WHAT IS A BONE YARD? 1:04 An aircraft bone yard is a place for airlines to store aircraft that they have finished with and don't want to use anywhere. Bone yard's are generally airports with really hot climates so the planes get the least amount of damage as possible. Once the airline has decided what they will do with aircraft (Sell, Scrap, Preserve) they will get it ready for flying again or smash it with a big machine, depending on what they decided.
