Filmed: February -March 7th 1897 Location: Barracks - Villefranche-sur-Mer France. This film shows members of the 24th Chasseurs Alpins (English: Alpine Hunters), the mountain infantry of the French Army performing a basic four facing drill. The drill favours the right side, as both kicks are done with the right leg and the single punch used in the drill is done with the right hand. 4 faces Drills are equivalent to a Japanese martial Kata or a Chinese martial form.
