3 Day Wilderness Canoe Trip in Algonquin Park

The first backcountry wilderness canoe trip of 2018. This was the first time starting a canoe camping trip at Access #3 Magnetewan Lake in Algonquin Park. Noah and I decided to get out for a few days to explore the area and spend a couple nights chillin' out together. Over the three days, we travelled through Magnetewan Lake, Hambone Lake and Ralf Bice Lake. For us, we actually preferred Magnetewan and Ham Bone Lake. They were smaller lakes with less wind and were large enough to provide a decent amount of distance between campsites. Whereas Ralf Bice Lake did provide adequate space, the larger lake also opened up the landscape to heavier winds. Ralf Bice was also a fairly busy lake with people fishing and travelling through to other lakes. In the future I think I'll book several nights at Magnetewan and save myself the extra travel into the park... then again... there are so many more lakes in the area left to explore. During this trip I decided to leave the plastic barrel pack at home and instead used a drybag back pack as our food bag. It was definitely a better choice. The dry bag I used can be found here: https://www.aquaquestwaterproof.com/product/sport-30l-pro-backpack/ I hope you enjoy this wilderness canoe trip report style video. If you do, please give it the thumbs up and leave a comment.
