Scaffold Hitch - How to Tie the Scaffold Hitch - How to Suspend a Plank with Rope 🛠 The Scaffold Hitch is a wonderful simple way of suspending a plank with the rope. The scaffold Hitch can also be tied on the end of a wooden dowel. One problem that I see with the scaffold Hitch is that the Hitch could slip off the end of the plank, if the plank is actually tilted at an angle. Maybe by cutting ridges into the wooden plank, would reduce possible slippage? In my demonstration of how to tie the scaffold Hitch, I show the completed combination of knots using the bowline. However, the scaffold Hitch can be finished off with your favourite knot.
