Carrick Loop Knot - How to Tie the Carrick Loop Knot or the Carrick Bend Loop 🛠 The Carrick Bend Loop or the Carrick Loop, makes a nice stable loop at the end of a rope. I personally have as yet not tested this, but like the Carrick Bend the Carrick Loop is also easy to untie when it has been loaded. Non Jam Loop Knot. In this video I show two methods of tying the Carrick Loop, one following Ashley's Book of Knots method, where the over under sequence is not strictly followed. I therefore have to ask as to whether or not this is the correct way of tying the Carrick Loop? I also discovered a more secure version of the the Carrick Loop and that is demonstrated towards the end of the video.
