Some people think that external cooling fans for the PS4 Pro, Slim and Xbox consoles are essential to helping them run cooler. I decided to test it and see if it's true. I bought an external cooling fan for the PS4 Pro. Then I installed it and played the console for over an hour and noted the temperatures. I then removed the fan and played the console for another hour and found that the temperature was a tiny bit cooler without the fans installed. This test clearly shows that external cooling fans for the PS4 Pro do nothing to keep the console cooler. Keep in mind this is with a console that is clean.
