The Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD Lens for Canon Cameras is an excellent lens for anyone looking for a budget 24-70 zoom lens. It is nearly $1000 less than the Canon variant...but it has image stabilization! This is a videographers best friend, and should not be underrated. As much as it is convenient and well made, I find that it is a bit softer than I wish it was, though not enough to hinder a purchase compared to the more expensive Canon variant unless you have the cash to spend.
