On the 29th of every month of the lunar calendar, It is a traditional Chinese practice to regularly worship the wandering ghosts with offerings. These are the spirits of people who have no descendants to worship them. People believe that if they are not happy, they can cause problems for the living. Also, it is bad luck to say the word "ghost", therefore they are called "good brothers" instead. Whenever Chinese finish worshiping them, they will leave dishes on the shrine for at least 30 minutes. After that, they will light incense and burn ghost money to entertain "good brothers".
