In this quizzical drama, Mournes eagerly awaits the return of her soldier son, Mikael. Together with Mikael's deaf fiancee Naghmeh, Mournes happily tidies up her rural house and makes preparation for his arrival. Shortly after, a soldier is seen in the village knocking on her door, and Mournes joyfully spreads the news that her son has returned. However, things take a turn for the mysterious when it transpires that no one has actually seen Mikael in person. Has he really come back? Or do we see a mother who is unable to let her son go?
