Bojan Bogdanovic. The Croatian sensation was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, played in those countries, as well as Turkey and Spain, before he was drafted by the Miami Heat, and traded to the New Jersey (YES, they were still based in New Jersey at the time) Nets. He didn’t get to truly showcase his talents in Brooklyn, but broke out in Washington. He had quite the number of sharpshooting showings with the Wizards, but took him game to an entirely different level in Indiana. Alongside Victor Oladipo, he helped propel the Pacers and pushed the eventually Finals bound Cleveland Cavaliers to the absolute limits. Unfortunately, I don’t have the materials ready to make a video of his from this past season, but I had this waiting in the wings to get released with alongside the new one. This is just a little something something to whet the appetite of Jazz fans. I’ll say this: I was extremely excited about the Bogdanovic acquisition by Utah. I thought that they were arguably the third best team in the West going into the playoffs and had the unfortunate task of playing against the Houston Rockets and the reigning MVP James Harden in round 1. I knew it was going to be a tough matchup for them, but I still stand by my belief that they were likely the third best team in the West. Now, they’ve essentially turned Ricky Rubio and Derrick Favors (both great ball players and deserve happiness and success at their new clubs) into Mike Conley and Bojan, and I would contend that until we know the status of Kawhi Leonard (and were he to sign with the Lakers, until we know the state of that roster around AD-Kawhi-LeBron), the status of Houston and their cohesiveness, that Utah has one of the best constructed rosters and one of the more dangerous 5 man units across the league…couple that with Quin Snyder’s system with so much sophistication that it seemingly never stagnates?
