How to Dougie: http://bit.ly/DOUGIE This dance style comes from the idea of how people look in a strobe light, where they can only be seen during certain moments. While strobing, you should be moving in one direction. In this lesson, you'll be learning a strobing movement forward. This move dissects a slow, casual walk forward into multiple segmented, subtle movements. Forward Strobing 1st Movement: Bring your right foot up onto its ball, raising your right knee slightly. As you do this, bring your left hand up in front of you around waist level, elbow very slightly bent. 2nd Movement: Lift your right foot off the floor. As you do this, bend your arm further at the elbow, raising your left forearm up to mid-torso level. 3rd Movement: Place your right heel back down on the floor. As you do this, bend your left arm further at the elbow, raising your left forearm slightly higher. 4th Movement: Let your right foot rest flat on the floor, leaving your left arm where it is. 5th Movement: Bring your left foot up onto its ball, raising your knee slightly. As you do this, drop your left arm completely while bringing your right hand up to waist level, elbow very slightly bent. 6th Movement: Lift your left foot off the floor. As you do this, bend your right arm further at the elbow, raising your right forearm up to mid-torso level. 7th Movement: Place your left heel back down on the floor. As you do this, bend your right arm further at the elbow, raising your right forearm slightly higher. 8th Movement: Let your left foot rest flat on the floor, leaving your right arm where it is.
