I always use Sharpie pens and markers for my outlines before adding watercolors. People always ask me if they are waterproof. They are alcohol based markers, so for the most part, yes. But depending on your technique you could end up with some Sharpie bleed. Check out the video for the results of testing Sharpie markers and Sharpie pens with water to see if they bleed!
