"Install Ubuntu alongside them" option not showing, when you are installing ubuntu along with Windows 8. Then this video is the solution. If your computer's UEFI Boot Support is enabled, then you can see the message like "This computer currently has no detected operating systems" and the option "install ubuntu alongside them" will be not available under installation type. So, i recommend you to first disabled the option "UEFI Boot support" on your pc and then start installing the ubuntu. This time you will see the message "This computer currently has multiple operating systems on it" and the option "Install Ubuntu alongside them". Once selected this option and installed, you can choose which operating system you want each time the computer starts up (Dual boot). Note: UEFI Boot support enabled means that the system can boot legacy OS or UEFI OS. Where, Disabled means that the system can boot Legacy OS only.
