How to make my Marking Gauge - Woodworking Project

I have a few different Marking Gauges and this is how I make my Best or Favourite Marking Gauge. I designed it to be a handy size, inexpensive and easy to set up. I use it on almost every project unless the components are too wide for the Cutter. It is perfect for most of my woodworking projects. I use some Power Tools, but all processes can be adapted to Hand Tools. It uses a 5mm Chrome Vanadium Allen Key for the Cutter. This works really well and holds an edge for a long time. In fact I have never needed to regrind after a year of daily use :) The rest of the Gauge is made from a couple of small pieces of Hard Wood. I used Ash for the Handle and Birch for the Fence / Face. It is designed to store away with the cutter recessed into the front of the Fence for safety. This prevents picking the tool up and causing harm or injury, unless it has been stored with the Blade / Cutter exposed. In this video, I made two as part of a set of tools for my first Giveaway. I promised myself to have a 1000 Subscriber Giveaway in appreciation for the support of my channel.
