NEW: The trike was used by James and Paul as they made their way across North America, from Midland, Ontario, Canada to San Diego, USA. Here is the link to their trip: https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpNJ6uw8rWEPZKS_PS4D_wiIRzZ-FOgPQ The trike is made out of two identical kids bikes (for the front) and a mountain bike for rear (wheel, gears, suspension), handlebars, brake and pedals. The bikes were bought at garage sales. The aluminum frame is from a metal supermarket The seat is made following the plans from here https://sites.google.com/site/recycledrecumbents/seat-frame-construction but I didn't weld anything on it, just reinforcements and screws. The only weldings are at the front wheels, the plate that holds the wheel axle. All of it was done in my basement, the main tools were a cordless power drill and a hacksaw.
