Based on the all-new 7 Series, the Alpina B7 uses a modified version of the BMW's 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 making 600hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Alpina says the new B7 will hit 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and top out at 205mph, making it the world's fastest sedan on sale. New intercoolers, new engine-management software, and other tweaks give the updated B7 a lower torque peak and better throttle response and power delivery. The B7 also gets an upgraded eight-speed automatic and xDrive all-wheel-drive system, larger brake discs, a stainless-steel variable exhaust system, and a special Alpina air-suspension system.
