This time we go for a short round trip over different Christmas markets. The first stop is Liège in Belgium, then back to Germany, where we will visit Aachen and Monschau. The motorway to Liège is now well known to us, but this time we have exceptional weather. Fog covers the landscape and only clears in places. In the course of the trip, even partly sunshine comes out. Coming from the motorway, we cross Herstal for the first time, which has a kind of industrial area along the Meuse. The Albert Canal runs parallel to the Meuse to offer better conditions for shipping to Liège. In Liège, we first cross the canal and then the Meuse before reach the city center. Amosa Liège City Centre Apart We have booked an apartment in the Amosa Liège right in the city center, only 50 m from the town hall and the Christmas market. However, we don't stay in the main building of the Amosa Hotel, in Rue St. Denis 4. Here we check-in and get the keys for the apartment, located in the immediate vicinity, in the Rue Gérardrie 17. The Amosa Liège City Center Hotel has several apartments spread over different addresses. Our modern designed duplex-apartment is on the 3rd floor, equipped with everything you need, also for a longer stay. Coffee machine, free coffee, and tea are available. Even a vacuum cleaner, an iron, a dishwasher, and a washing machine are part of the inventory. You reach the bedroom via a staircase inside the apartment. Everything is clean and makes a friendly impression. Free WiFi is self-evident. The only drop of bitterness is the relatively steep and narrow staircase to the apartment. Thus, the apartment is not suitable for people with physical weakness. The location is excellent, especially for a visit to the Christmas market, but also for city tours. Erste Station ist Lüttich in Belgien, danach geht es zurück nach Deutschland, wo wir Aachen und Monschau besuchen. Die Autobahn nach Lüttich ist uns mittlerweile bestens bekannt, aber dieses Mal haben wir ein außergewöhnliches Wetter. Nebel bedeckt die Landschaft und lichtet sich nur stellenweise. Im Verlauf der Fahrt kommt sogar teilweise Sonnenschein hervor. Von der Autobahn kommend durchqueren wir erstmals Herstal, das an der Maas entlang eine Art von Industriegebiet besitzt. Parallel zur Maas verläuft der Albertkanal, um der Schifffahrt bis Lüttich bessere Bedingungen zu bieten. In Lüttich überqueren wir zuerst den Kanal und dann die Maas, und erreichen das Stadtzentrum . Amosa Liège City Centre Apart Wir haben ein Apartment im Amosa Liège direkt im Stadtzentrum, 50 m vom Rathaus und dem Weihnachtsmarkt entfernt gebucht. Allerdings sind wir nicht im Haupthaus des Amosa Hotels in der Rue St. Denis 4 untergebracht. Hier checken wir ein und erhalten die Schlüssel für das Apartment, das sich in unmittelbarer Nähe, in der Rue Gérardrie 17, befindet. Zum Amosa Liège City Centre Hotel gehören mehrere Apartments, die über unterschiedliche Adressen verteilt sind. Unser Apartment befindet sich im 3. Stock, ist modern gestaltet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt benötigt. Kaffeemaschine und kostenloser Kaffee und Tee stehen zur Verfügung. Selbst ein Staubsauger, ein Bügeleisen, eine Geschirrspülmaschine und eine Waschmaschine gehören zum Inventar. Das Schlafzimmer ist über eine weitere Treppe im Inneren des Apartments zu erreichen. Alles ist sauber und macht einen freundlichen Eindruck. Kostenloses WLAN ist selbstverständlich. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist die relativ steile und enge Treppe zum Apartment, d.h. das Apartment ist nicht für Menschen mit Gebrechen geeignet. Die Lage ist hervorragend, speziell für einen Besuch des Weihnachtsmarktes, aber auch für Stadtbesichtigungen.
