Here is the initial test run of the micro jet turbine engine we built for my school project, up to self sustaining speed. This engine is based on the popular KJ66. It started after a couple of goes and was running on propane and kerosene. I got a bit exited at the start as two years worth of work paid off. I think this was only running between 24k and 32k rpm, there is some fine tuning required and I need to take the engine apart to make sure everything is ok for a full run to max rpm. I will also be putting together an electronics system so that I can accurately measure and control the engine.
