Learn the steps shown in this video about how to delete a Skype account . 1. Open the account deletion page for Microsoft. Visit http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=523898 which will redirect straightaway to the login page. 2. Key in your Skype details such as your email address and password post which you should click the Sign In option. This will be for verifying that you own this particular Skype account. 3. Choose the Verification option which is either Email or Text. Type the last four digits of your mobile phone number or even your entire email address. In case your phone is not linked to your Skype account as of yet, you will only view the Email option at this stage. 4. Click on the Send Code option in the bottom-right corner. This will enable the dispatch of a code by email/text to your email ID/phone number. 5. You have to open the messaging app on your mobile phone and view the message from Microsoft where you will find the 7-digit code for verification. Otherwise, you will have to login to your email ID, check the email from Microsoft titled as Microsoft account security code and then use the 7-digit code sent. Always check the Spam and Updates folders in case you do not receive this email in a few minutes’ time. 6. Key in the code in the field given at the bottom and then click on Verify which is the blue button in the bottom-right corner. This will land you on the Ready to close page. 7. You may have to choose the No Thanks link on the page prior to arriving at the above mentioned Ready to close page. 8. Go with Next in the bottom-left corner on the page and then go through all the requirements. 9. Check all the boxes in the page; click checkboxes positioned to the left of every closure effect. 10. Choose the account closure reason. Click on Select a Reason at the bottom and click the reason. In case you don’t have one, choose My reason isn’t listed in the drop-down. 11. Choose Mark Account for Closure and this is a blue button placed at the bottom-left corner of the page. This will mark up your account on Skype for being deleted.
